Circa 1950-1960, France. Rare silk scarf signed by Raoul Dufy after his famous painting "Boating or View of the Marne," dated 1935. Printed silk twill scarf with hand-rolled edges in the subtle tones of the artist's graphic palette. The scene depicts a festive esplanade in front of the Town Hall, surrounded by swimmers and boaters on the Marne River. This edition is protected by ADAGP and bears the inscription "Boating" after Raoul Dufy and the signature Raoul Dufy 1935 in red within the painting. The silk scarf is of similar quality to Hermès scarves from the same period. Note two or three tiny spots, barely visible as they are the size of a pinhead. No stains or holes. Beautiful condition in terms of color and preservation. Dimensions: approximately 83 cm x 86 cm
