Landscapes Of Southwest France Circa 1910 Oils On Cardboard / Paper Plein Air Impressionism Gers
A series of three landscape paintings depicting southwestern France in the 1910s. Two are oils on cardboard and one is an oil on canvas: Lombez in the Gers (oil on cardboard), Saint Amans in the Ariège (oil on paper), and the third is unidentified. They appear to be signed by different hands, yet share the same technique, leaving the works unattributed. We prefer not to attempt to attribute them. Dimensions: 22 cm wide x 16 cm high. These works can be viewed alongside the other lots of southwestern landscapes (smaller formats, oil on cardboard, between 1915 and 1918). Possessing fine pictorial qualities (colors, compositions, feelings, intuition), these southwestern landscapes are well-suited for a group display. They are in good condition.
