Small Marquetry Side Table In The Late 18th/early 19th-century Transition Style, Late 18th/early 19th Century
A small, transitional Louis XV/Louis XVI style writing table, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The tabletop is crafted from high-quality kingwood veneer and beautifully decorated with trelliswork and frieze in a diamond pattern. This writing table features four drawers, one of which reveals a central writing surface covered in its original leather, surrounded by small drawers for storing writing accessories, as well as a large drawer on the side. The whole rests on typically Louis XV cabriole legs adorned with gilt bronze sabots. In perfect condition, restored by our workshop, with a French polish finish.
