After attending school in Moscow and studying art at the Moscow School of Fine Arts, he decided to join Larionov in Paris. There he became acquainted with other painters of the time, such as Moïse Kisling, Pinchus Kremegne, and André Lanskoy, and later founded, with Roland Oudot, Maurice Brianchon, and Raymond Legueult, a group of painters who, from 1949 onward, called themselves "Les "Painters of Poetic Reality." The work of this painter, watercolorist, lithographer, tapestry painter, and poet covers a wide range of subjects, from figures to landscapes and still lifes. In 1951, his work received the grand prize at the Menton Biennale, an international printmaking festival in France. After his death, two retrospectives were dedicated to him: one in 1980, entitled "Homage to Terechkovitch," at the Etienne de Sassi Gallery in Paris, and the other in 1986 at the Menton Municipal Museum.
