Biography:
ALBERT ELOY-VINCENT (1868-1945) Born in Montpellier in 1868 and died in 1945, he was a painter, journalist, and caricaturist of Jaurès in Paris. This native of Montpellier became director of the School of Fine Arts and curator of the museum in Nîmes after 1914.
During the golden age of artistic creation in Nîmes between the two World Wars, he drew and painted numerous Landscapes, portraits and satirical caricatures of local figures, inspired poems, illustrated books, and active participation in the city's intellectual life.
