Beautiful Buddha head; the headdress is adorned with the Ushnisha in a tall, flame-like spiral, the 32nd attribute, symbol of Enlightenment and the spiritual power of the founder of Buddhism. Bronze with a medal patina on a wooden base. Burma, late 19th/early 20th century. Note: this head is in very good overall condition. Traces of oxidation on the back – visible in the photos.
