We are offering for sale this interesting drawing, signed and dated by Jean Baptiste PILLEMENT, a painter born on May 24, 1728, and died on April 26, 1808. Born and died in Lyon, he was a leading figure of the Rococo movement throughout Europe. He was a painter to the King of Poland and Queen Marie Antoinette. Our drawing depicts a storm and a shipwreck. It is a black chalk drawing, signed and dated in the lower right corner. The frame needs restoration and is likely original; for an additional fee, it can be restored. Shipping is extra (€25).
