We are pleased to present this very large framed oil painting on canvas by Etienne Roth, an artist born in 1919 and deceased in 1996. The painting depicts two children, a brother and sister, and could date from the 1960s or 70s. This canvas comes from the collection of objects, paintings, etc., belonging to a collector who was a diplomat. He purchased works of art and stored them in warehouses after acquiring them. Other paintings by this artist exist, but in smaller sizes. The paint is applied with considerable thickness and texture in certain areas, particularly on the hair and clothing.
