This solid silver tripod ewer is engraved, chased, and repoussé. The very rich decoration of scrolling foliage and flowers is extremely rare on this type of object. It is monogrammed on the body, and its side handle is made of ebony. Hallmarked with the rooster mark and the horse's head mark, the first standard mark applied in the North of France from 1796 to 1798. Height 26 cm, gross weight 765 g.
