Large Mahogany Sofa From The Empire Period
Large molded and carved mahogany sofa with a rectangular but slightly reclined back. The armrests terminate in floral scrollwork, the consoles are decorated with stylized palmettes, and the curved seat rail rests on two scrolled front legs and two saber-shaped rear legs. Attractive traditional yellow silk upholstery with a laurel wreath and floral motif. Empire period, early 19th century. In perfect condition.
