First Empire Bowl By The Artist Charpentier Brécy
Artist: Charpentier Brécy
A splendid painted porcelain bowl. It could be a sweetmeat dish or a bowl inspired by an urn. It is signed Charpentier Brécy, a porcelain painter for the Limoges factories. Very few pieces by this artist are available for sale. The bowl and its lid are decorated with various antique figures in medallions, all arranged within a geometric pattern and a scattering of stars. The paintings are exquisitely delicate. The bowl, its lid, and its saucer are all painted with fine gold. The painted decoration is perfectly preserved. The set is in exceptional condition.
