A porcelain plate bearing the coat of arms of Napoleon I, King of Italy. The rim features a frieze of eagles on a midnight blue background. It bears an apocryphal mark with the stamp of the Imperial Sèvres Manufactory. Late 19th/early 20th century. Diameter: 24 cm. The Kingdom of Italy was created in 1805, and Napoleon's coronation took place in Milan on May 25, 1805. It was administered by Eugène de Beauharnais, Viceroy and adopted son of Napoleon I.
