Pair Of Louis XVI Period Gilt Bronze Wall Sconces
Pair of finely chased gilt bronze wall sconces, Louis XVI period. Each sconces has two light arms adorned with papier-mâché sleeves. The fluted, reeded stem is decorated with laurel garlands and surmounted by a fire-pot urn. The arms feature acanthus leaf motifs, water-leaf candle holders, and twisted fluted cups with heart-shaped moldings. Rewired to current standards. Very good condition.
