Art Deco alabaster and bronze sculpture, signed on the base "Alonzo D." Depicting a water carrier with a face, arms, and feet in bronze with a brown patina. She carries a staff on her shoulders supporting two bronze and brass jugs. Beautiful patina. In very good condition. *Dominique Alonzo (active between 1912 and 1926) was a French sculptor representative of the Art Deco period. Alonzo was a student of the sculptor Alexandre Falguière. She exhibited her works from 1912 to 1926 at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français. Her detailed statuettes primarily depict female figures dressed in long gowns, sometimes nudes, and more rarely, male figures.
