A fine series from the reign of Louis XV in three volumes, duodecimo, full blond calf, spine with raised bands decorated with gilt tooling in the compartments, red and ochre morocco titles and volume numbers, marbled endpapers, red edges: "The Art of Painting to the Mind": a work in which the precepts are confirmed by examples drawn from the best French orators and poets. Dedicated to Monseigneur the Duke of Burgundy. Published in Paris by Augustin-Martin Lottin, the Elder, Bookseller and Printer, rue Saint Jacques, near Saint Yves, at the sign of the rooster. 1758.
