Superb 18k gold brooch with a sparkling semi-precious stone and a delicate micro-mosaic depicting St. Mark's Square in Venice. This beautiful and refined piece is typical of the early "Grand Tour" objects, very fashionable during the reign of Charles X (circa 1830). This fine Italian work is in very good condition and is set in a beautiful gold ornamentation that enhances its value. It is presented in a box from the watch and goldsmith shop "A la corbeille d'or".
