A bit of History: the Director of this thesis was Robert de Massy for the graduate François-Claude Loyré. The Robert de Massy family is a surviving family of old French bourgeoisie, originally from Loiret. In 1719, it split into two branches: the elder branch Robert de La Matholière, extinct in the 19th century, and the younger branch Robert de Massy, still existing....
