"Doll Matrix"
Wooden mold depicting a female figure. It was covered with papier-mâché which, once dry, was removed from the mold by cutting it away at the back with a knife. The resulting dolls were used in religious ceremonies. Burma - Early 20th century.
Sold with a custom-made patinated brass base.
