"Traditional Nativity Scene Figurines Depicting The Birth Of Jesus Christ."
A magnificent scene depicting Joseph, Mary, and the Infant Jesus, surrounded by the Three Wise Men, a shepherd, and animals. The Marolin company boasts a long history. Founded around 1900 in Thuringia, it remained a family business for many years. Originally specializing in Christmas figurines and folk scenes, it produced hand-painted pieces with great attention to detail. Faced with the decline of these genres, animal production was taken over by the LINEOL company in the 1960s. The composition figurines were quickly scaled down and produced in plastic using injection molding. Following expropriation in the former East Germany in the 1970s, the company was renamed "VEB Marolin," then "VEB Plaho."
