If Redouté was the greatest flower watercolorist of the first half of the 19th century, Blanche Odin is the greatest of the first half of the 20th.
While it is undoubtedly her roses that have so deservedly secured her reputation, she excelled in depicting all kinds of flowers, as can be seen in the excellent works of Monique Pujo-Monfran or by visiting the Salies Museum in Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
Here, the artist captivates us with this delightful bouquet of anemones, which the photos do not do justice, arranged in a golden-brown ceramic vase.
