Large terracotta sculpture from the 1930s in the Art Deco style by Ugo Cipriani. This beautiful and interesting sculpture depicts two children playing with a kid goat in the purest Art Deco style. It has a lovely original patina tending towards green, imitating bronze. Ugo Cipriani was a renowned Italian sculptor born in Florence in 1887 and died in Paris in 1960, where he had lived since 1935. He was a recognized artist of the Art Deco movement from the post-war period in the 1920s, and one of his works adorns one of Florence's main squares. This is one of his well-known and catalogued works, a substantial piece measuring 58 cm in length, which will make a striking decorative statement.
