Ramazov – Russian Silver Tea and Coffee Service, 84 Zolotniks (875/1000) – Vermeil Interiors – Supplier to the Imperial Court.
Magnificent Russian tea and coffee service by the renowned Moscow silversmith Ramazov, official supplier to the Imperial Court. Each piece bears the maker’s mark and the Russian standard 84 Zolotnik (875/1000), with interiors richly gilded in exceptional vermeil, characteristic of Ramazov’s high craftsmanship.
The bodies are decorated in a refined late-19th-century Russian aesthetic, with balanced volumes, elegant contours, and discreetly engraved monograms “JW”. The handles and spouts show meticulous sculptural work, and each lid is fitted with a precision-crafted, nearly invisible hinge — polished perfectly flush so that the joint is imperceptible to the touch, a hallmark of top-tier Moscow workmanship.
The vermeil interiors display an intense, uniform gold tone of remarkable depth and quality.
The set is superbly heavy, testifying to its exceptional craftsmanship: total weight 2.673 kg for the four pieces.
