A repoussé and chased silver teapot resting on four gadrooned feet. The body, with its bulbous and multi-lobed shape, has a slightly flared neck ending in a strong band. It features a gadrooned spout. The handle is in the form of a crook, fitted with a thumb rest and insulators. The hinged, slightly domed lid is surmounted by a finial in the shape of a flower bud. Made of 950/1000 silver, with the Minerva hallmark. Maker's mark: Alphonse Debain, circa 1900, Paris. Height: 22.5 cm. Diameter: 14 cm. Length: 25 cm. Weight: 636 g. Capacity: 1.5 liters. Very good condition.
