"Rare Set Of Two Benches And Four Lacquered Stools, Louis XVI Period, Turin"
A rare Louis XVI Piedmontese set comprising two identical benches and four matching stools, originating from an aristocratic palace in the center of Turin. Made around 1775-1790, it exemplifies the full force of Turin Neoclassicism, inspired by French models while retaining the rigor and sobriety characteristic of the Savoy court workshops. The set retains its original lacquer in the ivory and blue-green palette typical of Piedmont, as well as its original lacquered caning, also in remarkable condition. The stylistic coherence of the pieces and the presence of two twin benches, a very rare feature, make it a set of museum quality. Its elegance, provenance, and condition make it an exceptional example of Turin Neoclassical furniture. Dimensions: Benches: W 173 cm / H 100 cm / D 46 cm / Seat height 42 cm stools: 47x47x42 cm
