Letassey 58 lower right on the front and 57 on the back. Born in 1933 in Dangy, Manche, Marcel Letassey has been painting and sculpting since 1952. After 38 years in Brittany, in Morbihan, as Director of the Federation of Family Homes, he retired and spent most of his time in his native region while maintaining ties to Brittany. An amateur painter and sculptor, Marcel Letassey has produced more than 700 paintings, a number of sketches, and about a hundred sculptures. Two very different genres have always coexisted in Marcel Letassey's works: landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, executed in soft pastel and oil, and surrealist compositions bordering on... Abstract works in oil or acrylic. Around forty exhibitions have presented his works, notably in Vire, Coutances, Nantes, Pornichet, Vannes, Ernée (every year for the last 8 years), Saint-Lô, Argentan, Le Mans...
