Chinese Porcelain Vase – Famille Rose – 19th Century

An elegant Chinese famille rose (fencai) porcelain vase, dating from the 19th century. The body is decorated with auspicious motifs: vases filled with flowers, scholars, and symbols of good fortune, painted in a delicate palette of pinks, greens, yellows, and turquoise, typical of late Qing dynasty production. The composition is dense and harmonious, with beautifully fine glazes and a rich border of geometric and ruyi motifs.

Period: 19th century – Qing dynasty (probably late 19th century).
Technique: Polychrome glazed porcelain – famille rose.
Decoration: Vases, flowers, scholars' objects, symbols of longevity and auspiciousness. Ruyi motif on the upper border, Greek key pattern (leiwen) on the neck.
Dimensions: 45 cm.
Condition: A chip on the neck (see photo).

A decorative vase typical of pieces produced for export or the scholarly market during the late Qing period. A beautiful example of famille rose porcelain, luminous and richly detailed, ideal for an Asian art collection.
