GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Louis XV period bergère armchair, crafted in walnut and reupholstered in velvet in shades of pink coral and terracotta. The armchair retains the proportions and sculptural quality characteristic of mid-18th-century French Rococo. The frame's lines are fluid and harmoniously articulated, in keeping with the aesthetics of this period.

Authenticity
The armchair has undergone professional appraisal, confirmed by a certificate of attribution. The wooden structure, the style of the carving, and the specific features of the frame fully correspond to authentic French models from the Louis XV period.

Decoration and Style
The walnut frame is adorned with fine carving of vegetal motifs: a floral cartouche at the top of the back and delicate scrolls on the seat rail. The "cabriole" feet emphasize the lively and vibrant profile characteristic of Rococo furniture. The new velvet with a large damask pattern was chosen in the spirit of the 18th century and respects the original decorative balance without attempting to imitate artificial aging.

Dating and historical context:
France, 18th century, Louis XV period (1715–1774). Rococo, which dominated the decorative arts at the time, favored lightness, movement, and organic lines. Bergère armchairs of this type were used in salons, boudoirs, and private rooms, offering comfort suitable for extended use.

Condition:
The wooden frame has been completely restored by a cabinetmaker: the construction has been reinforced, and the carving is in excellent condition. The upholstery and covering have been entirely redone in velvet with a raised damask pattern, complemented by a decorative nailhead trim.
