A substantial silver-plated flatware set from the renowned French firm Christofle, comprising 162 pieces in an oak wood case.
This set for 12 people is the Vendôme pattern, a classic, elegant, and timeless design featuring the shell motif that was fashionable in the 18th century.
It includes:
12 dinner forks,
12 dinner spoons,
18 teaspoons,
12 dinner knives,
12 dessert knives,
12 dessert forks (17cm),
12 dessert spoons (17cm),
12 cake forks (15cm),
6 cake forks (16.5cm),
12 fish forks,
12 fish knives,
12 oyster forks,
12 mocha spoons,
1 large ladle,
1 salad spoon and fork,
1 sauce ladle,
and 1 large fish serving shovel and the fork.
This flatware set has been used and will need to be polished to restore its original shine.
Eight large forks show wear on the left tines, as seen in the last photos; otherwise, the set is in good overall condition
. It is a Christofle-marked model, the knives have original stainless steel blades, and it likely dates from the 1960s.
