"A Series Of 17 Small Leather-bound Books: "poetic Encyclopedia" From 1804"
The books in this poetic encyclopedia are in a "portable" format, as was the custom at the time—that is, a small pocket-sized edition. It is subtitled "A Selection of Poems in All Genres, by a Society of Men of Letters" and published by Capelle and Renand on rue JJ Rousseau in Paris. Bound in light calfskin with gilt tooling, these books were published from 1804 for the most part, and up to 1810 for the last volumes. This last volume is actually a dictionary of the French language and is divided into two volumes numbered 16 (1) and 16 (2).
