"Large Troubadour-style Neo-gothic Casket "
Large neo-Gothic style reliquary box. It can be used as a jewelry box. Shaped like a reliquary or hunting chest, it is made of repoussé metal and copper over a wooden core. The repoussé metalwork features a floral design, a rosette, and saints around the edge.
The whole is adorned with colored glass cabochons.
This box has retained its original clover-shaped key, and the interior is lined with crimson damask.
A work in the Troubadour style, this beautiful box was made during the reign of Napoleon III.
