This Louis XIII style light wood table features a drawer in the apron, four twisted maple legs joined by an X-shaped stretcher, and flattened, spherical maple feet. The top and apron are made of maple burl inlaid with ebony stringing, and the geometric marquetry is reminiscent of the work of the Haches dynasty in Grenoble. In good overall condition, this piece can serve as either a writing table or a formal dining table, and can be placed in the center of a room or against a wall. Mid-19th century.
