"Large Second Empire Gilt Bronze Photo Frame With Marie-louise Motif "
Here is a lovely, original Napoleon III period frame designed like a pediment. While the upper and lower sections are beaded moldings with rows of laurel leaves, the side columns are different, featuring gadrooned decoration with entwined laurel branches. The mat is made of blue moiré, and the photo frame is decorated with heart-shaped motifs. The whole is surmounted by a laurel wreath and a Louis XVI ribbon bow. It has its protective glass, and the back is made of cardboard that opens with tabs on the sides. Dimensions for the photo: 16.5 x 12.5 cm.
