Mechanically operated, it strikes the hours and half-hours and includes an alarm.
It also displays the date and day of the week in apertures.
Signed Tavernier in Paris. A high-quality Parisian piece from the early Louis XVI period.
The mechanism is in working order; the escapement has been replaced.
Note: a small chip on the dial and a slightly bent decoration at the top.
