"Lorgnette With Horn And Wallpaper, 18th Century"
A spyglass constructed of horn and cardboard, lined with wallpaper featuring a typically Italian, perhaps Florentine, checkered pattern, and green vellum on which the remains of small silver tools are visible. The spyglass is unsigned but Italian, dating from the mid-18th century. The original optics function perfectly. There are a few small chips and losses to the horn, but these are insignificant. The spyglass measures 4.5 cm in diameter by 8.4 cm in length when closed.
