Silver tray. Spanish work by Fray José Espejo y Delgado. Cordoba, 1780. Tray with Rococo-style decoration, made by one of Spain's most renowned silversmiths, active from 1768 to 1821, Fray José Espejo y Delgado. The hallmarks visible on this tray indicate, firstly, the origin of the piece: Cordoba, symbolized by a rampant lion facing left; secondly, the silversmith's mark, in this case Espejo, as well as the silver control hallmarks, where the number 80, corresponding to the date of creation, can be seen.
