Object description :

"Antique Wooden Wall Intercom Telephone Switchboard By L.m. Ericsson Type Ha 100"
The Intercom telephone by AB L.M. Ericsson, model HA 100/15 with the RE 6000 handset, is a striking example of early 20th century engineering and design. This model belongs to the so-called “self-dialing” wall telephones - automatic single-line devices with a galvanic ringer. In 1914, telephones of this type made their debut in Ericsson’s official catalogs, specifically designed to complement the interiors of European homes and offices. Thanks to its self-dialing mechanism, this model eliminated the need for operator assistance and manual switchboard connections, significantly speeding up and simplifying communication between subscribers. Special attention was given to craftsmanship: the case was made of walnut, and all hardware and metal components underwent rigorous quality control. Such a device was not only a means of communication but also a symbol of its owner's status. Today, surviving examples of these telephones are extremely rare. In the collectors' market, they are highly sought after by vintage technology enthusiasts and interior designers for their unique combination of innovative engineering and the distinctive aesthetics of their era.
