Table In A Style Originating From Valais In Switzerland.
This small walnut table opens with a drawer in the front. It belongs to a style of table found in the Valais region of Switzerland, and it possesses all the characteristic features: the elegance and finesse of the turning, and the rounded, X-shaped stretcher. It was crafted from antique elements; the wood used, chosen with the utmost care at the time, has survived the test of time. The four uprights, with the exception of the feet (the rectangular section beneath the tabletop), are original. The rear rail of the apron has been replaced. The tabletop and drawer are antique, but they come from another piece of furniture. Minor imperfections to the turning discs are present. This is an older piece, and thanks to the original elements, it retains the patina and character of a period piece. Dimensions: tabletop 50 cm x 43 cm, height 68 cm.
