The collection of Captain Bernard Faure, a cavalry officer in the Chasseurs à Cheval (light cavalry).
Born July 4, 1772, died May 17, 1844.
Enlisting in 1793, he participated in the campaigns of the Revolution and the Empire.
He also served during the Restoration.
Knight of the Legion of Honor on March 14, 1806.
Deputy Mayor of Moulins in the Allier department during the Restoration.
This collection, in its original frame, has never been removed:
- a Legion of Honor medal (3rd type)
- a miniature Legion of Honor medal from the Restoration period
- a miniature portrait of the captain.
