"Pierre Toulhoat (1923-2014) - Saint Corentin Service - Plate A - Keraluc 1948"
A very beautiful plate from the early years of the Keraluc workshop in Quimper, decorated by Pierre Toulhoat around 1948, at the very beginning of his collaboration with Victor Lucas. The decoration depicts an episode from the Legend of Saint Corentin, featuring King Gralon, in a style still very graphic and typical of Toulhoat's formative period. Polychrome decoration, beautiful circular inscription: "One day Gralon, King of Cornouaille, came to the hermitage. He had hunted all day, and he and his people were hungry." 20 cm square. In very good condition. A rare piece.
