Franz Eybl (austrian, 1806-1889) Two Family Portraits
A pair of portraits of the Biedermeier family was executed c. 1830-1840 in a style and quality very close to that of the renowned Viennese portraitist Franz Eybl (1806-1887). Franz Eybl was an Austrian painter and lithographer born in Vienna in 1806. He was one of the leading genre painters and a very popular portraitist in Viennese society circles.

Inscription: unsigned, on the back of both portraits - inscriptions with the artist's name; old labels with inventory numbers from a former collector.

Dimensions: lady unframed 22.3 x 27.5 cm, gentleman 23.5 x 28.3 cm; framed each 28 x 43 cm.
Condition: in very good condition.
