A rare Qing dynasty jewelry cabinet in solid Macassar ebony and Coromandel lacquer panels, it consists of two doors composed of lacquer panels opening to reveal six drawers fitted with gilt bronze handles featuring a stylized heart motif. The key also features this motif. A piece of impeccable Art Deco craftsmanship. Circa 1930. Note: Key and lock are functional, there is a small chip to the key's decoration, and the Chinese lacquer panels show signs of wear as they are old. The cabinet is of fine quality, with solid ebony backs.
