"Hand-painted Porcelain Plaque, Portrait Of Marie Antoinette"
An elegant, hand-painted oval porcelain plaque depicting Marie Antoinette in a polonaise dress from the reign of Louis XVI, holding a fan and wearing a wide-brimmed hat adorned with a basket and pink feathers. The handwritten inscription at the bottom reads: "Millié de Louis XVI – Marie Antoinette." A 19th-century French work, circa 1850–1880, in the style of 18th-century gallant portraits. Mounted in its original oval blackened wood frame. Dimensions: Frame: 50 × 34 cm; Plaque: 41 × 26 cm
