A surrealist sheet before its time, probably taken from a sketchbook, in which the artist playfully accumulates delicate studies like a dance around a nervous system (?). The latter is probably based on a scientific lithograph. Note the little devil and the little fairy, which add a touch of whimsy to the whole.
