A pair of Chinese famille rose plaques in wooden frames.
Qing dynasty, Yongzheng to Qianlong period, c. 1735.
Decorated in opaque overglaze enamels of the famille rose (fencai) palette with flower arrangements in vases and a wooden table, supported by tree roots, with scholars’ objects surrounded by a frame of large flowers and a narrower one in green enamel. Both in a Chinese faux-bamboo wooden frame, ready to hang.
