GREEN FAMILY VASE KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase decorated with a scene from life in the imperial court The emperor sitting on a throne and surrounded by courtiers on a terrace opening onto a garden The arched neck is decorated with motifs geometric and leaves European bronze mount in rocaille style from the mid-19th century. Below the bronze mount, a stamp indicates "Belongs to the Christofle goldsmith company" Christofle was one of the most famous French goldsmiths in the mid-19th century. This vase belonged to Charles Christofle, jeweler and goldsmith, creator of the goldsmith house of the same name.
47 cm high.
Please note a slight crack in the enamel at the neck visible under UV light of around 4 cm and only on the exterior part of the vase.
This crack in the enamel is probably a cooking defect.
