Fine pair of 18th-century silver salt cellars from Liège, circa 1770–1790, hallmarked with the Liège city mark (Perron) and maker’s mark M.G. (Mathieu Gérard).
Elegant Louis XVI-style design with pierced rims, lion heads and garlands, standing on four feet, complete with their original cobalt-blue glass liners.
Excellent condition, no repairs or damage, hallmarks crisp and legible.
A refined and scarce example of late-18th-century silver from the Principality of Liège.
