Signed lower right.
On the other side, the same woman (Carmen?) is depicted nude, crouching, slightly inclined forward, her arms outstretched towards her feet.
Signed lower right below the inscription "Carmen".
Good condition, small tear without loss in the upper right corner, one mat stained.
Framed with a double giltwood frame and double glazing.
Height: 44.5 and 23 cm - Width: 36.5 and 16 cm.
Jean Puy, born November 8, 1876 – died March 6, 1960 in Roanne. An artist influenced by Impressionism, Pointillism, and then Fauvism. His work is featured in several museums, including the Musée Déchelette in Roanne, where a room is named after him.
