"19th-century Silver Ciborium, By Favier, Silversmith "
A silver ciborium, repoussé, chased, and guilloché, resting on a double-walled circular base. The base is decorated with a high-relief design of lanceolate leaves, aquatic plants, and four alternating leaves on a guilloché background scattered with small dots. The tubular stem with a ring features a torus-shaped knot decorated with stylized palm leaves and highlighted by a rope frieze in its center. The openwork and cut-out undercup, as well as the domed lid, repeat the same floral motif as the base. A fleur-de-lis cross on a dome surmounts the lid. The ciborium cup is gilded on the inside.
