Wrought Iron Basin Base, Italy, Venice, 17th Century, And Copper Planter Basin
Artist: Venise
A wrought iron basin stand decorated with scrolls and pigtail tendrils, resting on four flared feet. Double ornate hoops form cross braces at the top and bottom.
Exquisite ironwork, possibly from Venice, 17th or early 18th century?
A large repoussé copper basin from the 19th century completes the stand. Two lion's head mascarons support this round basin, which features wide gadroons and a frieze below the rim.
A fine example of metalwork, it could also be used as a planter. In used condition.
