"Long Directoire-restoration Bench – 19th Century"
A long Directoire/Restoration style cherrywood bench. Its solid armrests are curved, and its high back features a stepped design at the top. The seat, reupholstered using traditional methods with horsehair, webbing, and springs, is covered with a primer fabric, allowing the buyer to choose the final upholstery. It rests on eight slightly saber-shaped legs, providing good stability and sturdiness. Circa 1820. In perfect condition after restoration, stripping, and waxing in our workshop.
